About Animal Folk Family Trees

Last year, when my brother turned 40 years old, I decided to create a family tree for him as a special gift. However, instead of using photos or drawing realistic renderings of our family, I thought it would be cute to choose animals that best exemplified the personality and physicality of each family member. I chose to illustrate it in a black and white, pen and ink style, to give it a classic and timeless look.

The resulting family tree was a hit, not just with my brother, but others who saw it as well. One thing I heard over and over: There are so few options online to create well-designed, illustrative, attractive family trees. Ancestry, genealogy, and building family trees are more popular now than ever, yet it can be difficult to find a family tree that can be presented in the home, or gifted to a loved one.

With Animal Folk Family Trees, I want to help fill that void. And I hope you have as much fun as I did choosing which animal best represents your family members (and yourself).
